WARNING!!!

If you use a magnification device (glasses, magnifier attached to a light, etc.) do not leave it in the sun!

I have a magnifying glass attached to my floor Ott light. I don’t use the magnifier (it makes me seasick) but never removed it from the stand. I quilt using a floor hoop near a window that gets very little direct sunlight, about 15 minutes a day.

You know what’s coming.

While I was in another room, my quilt caught fire, and in a matter of minutes burned a 6” hole through all three layers. Thank heavens I was home! But alas, 2 ½ years of work…
