“MY FAVORITE THINGS…QUILT SHOW"
Featuring quilts depicting the makers’ favorite things. The Quilt Show Committee has chosen the theme for the 2009 Quilt Show, and it will be entitled, “My Favorite Things…” To celebrate the theme, the Show Committee is sponsoring a challenge to each of you to exhibit your creative expression of your favorite things!!
Everyone remembers the song lyrics… "I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad!"
This year’s challenge is to think about your favorite things…maybe it’s a color; maybe it’s a certain kind of fabric; maybe it’s a scene; maybe it’s cats or dogs or a favorite vacation spot or favorite hobby.
Your quilt can be any design - it just needs to reflect a part of you that represents “some of your favorite things.” We let you use your imagination to create a quilt that depicts what makes you happy. So close your eyes and create an image in your mind - one that makes you smile. Can you transfer that image into a quilt? We hope you can, and that you have fun with this challenge.
