Explore the details of this technique to create a small quilt project from Sue and her sister, Pat Holly’s new book “Stitched Raw Edge Appliqué from AQS. A small amount of fusible is used to seal the edge yet leaves the block soft. The stitching makes this project secure for washing. Details such as really sharp points, thread stems, embellishment ideas and background stitching will be covered. Students start working on “Twenty-one Birds” the small quilt featured in the new book or may choose to make one bird block to learn technique only.
