The Friendship Knot Quilters Guild has designed two raffle quilts for this show, an art quilt and a traditional applique quilt. If you wish to enter the drawings for these quils, just print a copy of the appropriate ticket, fill in the lower portion (please add your address) and send it and $1.00 per ticket entry to:

The Quilt Show will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011, from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM and on Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The drawing will be held during the last hour of the Quilt Show on Saturday. You do not need to be present to win. Winners will be notified.

Art Quilt for 2011

Guild members and art quilters Betty Ann Seeman, Leslie Hall, Pam Morris, Roberta Chalfy Miller, and Janine Ward have created the first ever Art Quilt to be raffled by the Friendship Knot Quilters Guild during the 2011 show. Professional quilt appraiser Teddy Pruitt has set a value of $2,465.00 on the piece. For more information about the design process, click here.

Traditional Quilt for 2011

The 2011 FKQG donor quilt represents a true collaborative effort by many talented and dedicated members of the guild. The original quilt design came from the book Floral Abundance by Rosemary Makhan. Appliqué designs inspired from the work of William Morris combined with pieced blocks make this a truly beautiful quilt. Fabrics were chosen to enhance and coordinate with the appliqué patterns. Construction of the quilt consists of intricate hand appliqué, machine-pieced blocks, hand embroidery and finally, hand quilting. The quilt has been professionally appraised for $2,000.
